Q3: What are workshops and group counseling like?

A3: Workshop and group counseling both have a clear topic of discussion, with number of members ranging from 8 to 12 people. Since the amount of participants is low, in-depth disclosure and discussion are possible. Besides learning about the topic, there are also experiential activities so that members can learn from experiencing. The biggest difference between the two is the time – Workshops are 6-8 hours long and last for one day, while group counseling sessions are 2 hours long and last for 6-8 weeks. The difference in time gives rise to difference in benefits. Workshops focus on experiential learning in that day, while group counseling allows implementation of weekly lesson content in life; additionally, cohesion and support among members are made more possible in group counseling.
